Your First Visit is $292 including GST, with up to an Hour of Work and a Written report

Our first-visit fee covers travel and tolls, with nothing added for distance, up to one hour on site working on one system, and a written report with photographs of what we find. There is no separate call-out fee. Repairs and parts are quoted separately before any repair work starts.

What Counts as One System

A split system is one outdoor unit and one indoor unit. A ducted system is one system, however many zones or vents it has. A gas ducted heater and a single-storey evaporative cooler are also one system each. A gas heater with add-on cooling counts as two systems if both are serviced.

A multi-head system has one outdoor unit connected to several indoor units. The $292 covers the outdoor unit and the first indoor head. Each extra head is priced below.

Double-storey evaporative coolers are priced separately. Call us for the price.

Additional Charges, only where they Apply

These are charges for additional work. They are not added to every visit.

For example, servicing two separate systems on the same visit costs $402 including GST: $292 for the first and $110 for the second.

For one system, extra time starts after the first hour. When we service several systems, we book enough time for all of them, and extra time only applies beyond that. Our technician will tell you before going on, and time is only charged in full 15-minute blocks, so a one-system visit that finishes at 1 hour 14 minutes costs nothing extra.

For four or more systems, or a business site, call us for one fixed price for the visit.

If your System Needs a Repair

Our aim is to fix it on the first visit where we can. We carry parts for common faults. If we have the part your system needs, we will explain the repair and give you a price before starting the work.

If a part needs to be ordered, we will explain what we found and what happens next. You will receive a fixed price for the repair, covering parts and labour, before we go ahead. Labour is charged at $160 an hour, and the fixed price is built from that rate plus parts. There is no call-out fee for the return visit, only the labour, which is included in your fixed price.

If we Find Nothing Wrong

We still check how your system is running and give you a written report of what we found. Regular servicing helps keep it running properly and gives us a chance to spot maintenance issues early.

Questions Before you Book

Is there a call-out fee on top of $292?

No. Travel and tolls are included in the first-visit fee.

Are repairs and parts included?

No. We quote those separately, as a fixed price, before repair work starts, so there are no surprises on the repair price.

How is a multi-head breakdown charged?

One first-visit fee for the system, not a separate fee for each indoor head. Each additional head we service is $80.

Can you quote a repair over the phone?

We can tell you our visit fees when you call. To give you a firm repair price, we need to look at the system and work out what is wrong.

Do the prices include GST?

Yes. All prices on this page include GST.
